I was born and educated in Cardiff although I spent two years in Derby at College. Most of my working life has been spent in some form of recycling and I was involved with paper recycling for more than 20 years. It was therefore a natural step across into the world of composting as much of the legislation and administration processes are very similar.

I helped set up Wormtech in 2002 and was one of the co-founders of the company, although I did not work full time for Wormtech until May 2005. Since then I have been instrumental in helping Wormtech to obtain Green Dragon Level 5 accreditation (equivalent to ISO14001), PAS 100 accreditation for the product and have also personally obtained my NVQ Level 4 WAMITAB qualification.

Rob Baynton

Rob Baynton of Wormtech Waste Recycling and Management Services

I was born and educated in Gilwern. After I left school, I worked at a number of jobs including on building sites until joining Wormtech as one of their first employees in 2003. I originally was taken on as a loader but due to circumstances I took over the job of supervisor on the collection round fairly soon after joining the company.

Since this time I have taken over more and more responsibilities and became a director of the company in November 2006 in charge of the collection of green and food waste in Monmouthshire.
